Well it’s time to look at one of the classiest juice ranges on the market at present. Winner of multiple awards last year S.P.Q.R has set themselves on a high pedestal and I’ve been uber excited to get my hands on them. The flavour profiles exude class and refinement, this is definitely a pinkies out vape range.
It does seem the flavours on offer by S.P.Q.R were created with a specific vaper in mind. I’m not saying everyone can’t enjoy them but the profiles aren’t something you’d usually dash out for. They are designed for that after dinner vape whilst polishing the stab. The flavour profile for our first foray into the range, Colossus, will give you an idea of what I mean.

How many of you A) Drink Cosmos B) Go to the theater? OK so the last one isn’t really relevant but as you can see, assuming you want to attract potential purchasers, it seems to be aimed at a specific kind of vaper.
There are very few juices out there that aim to create an alcoholic beverage and even then a Cosmopolitan is definitely going to be a new experience. The classic Cosmopolitan compromises of vodka, triple sec, cranberry juice and lime… Then poured in a tiny long stem glass. Its the kind of drink you may as well order with a chaser as otherwise you’ll be back at the bar before you sit down to finish it (……i don’t attend cocktail parties regularly, or ever 😂). Still, as far as cocktails go the twist of cranberry and lime should make a sweet but fresh blend, let’s see.
Lid up – Oh wow, you get the cranberry vodka infusion straight away. I was wondering if you would get that alcoholic cocktail vibe or whether it would just be a fruit vape but this is definitely the former. A crisp lime twist cuts the cranberry but without any harshness to it I’m already fighting the urge to pop the pinky.
Inhale – S.P.Q.R have really ironed out every possible rough edge in this vape and what you are left with is a beautifully strained vapour, light but with enough body to provide a satisfying draw to lung. The highest quality vodka provides a smoothness of flavour you won’t find in your local pub, it’s a special occasion reserve and provides a lovely partner to the sweet cranberry juice. Balanced and blended exactly like it would be in the hands of a skilled bar tender it’s a beautiful pairing.
Exhale – Our cranberry juice gets a zesty squeeze of lime which not only brings its own flavour but also awakens the freshness found in cranberries. It would be easy for the flavour or texture to falter here but nothing but perfect clouds leave this exhale.
Conclusion – I don’t drink, I definitely have no fondness of spirits and the smell alone is usually enough to make me recoil in horror but this vape has opened my eyes to what a master blender can do with something that many use as a means to getting as legless as possible. Vodka and triple sec actually taste fantastic when you look at them as a flavour and not a means to a messy end. The fruit elements are complimentary and in their own right would make a lovely vape but Colossus takes all four and adds the perfect texture and makes something that feels like it should be saved for special occasions but also something that could and should be an ADV. I absolutely recommend this juice, even if it doesn’t sound like your cup of tea, quality and care makes for a totally new vaping experience.
