Ck Serum – Easy Rider

image

With Easy Rider being the last juice for CK Serum I’ve found myself with a mixture of feeling about reviewing it. I’ve not had a real stand out flavour from this line as of yet. The fruits are fairly forgettable and whilst I enjoyed Ill Nana it’s flavour profile had some gaping holes in it when it came to the review nitty-gritty.  With flavour being super important to this last profile I could be in for a potential mouth rinser. The profile,

A sophisticated blend of a smooth Irish cream and coffee, with light notes of tobacco.

Alcohol, coffee and tobacco. A trio of potential disasters each more horrible that the next!! Bit dramatic… But you get what I mean. There’s no point in trying to dodge this bullet any longer. Let’s do it.

Lid up – You can smell the Irish Cream straight away, blended whiskey and coffee make up the aroma. The coffee is your average, late for work, home brew affair and whilst inoffensive, lacks the rich depth and body that makes your head turn when you pass a coffee shop in the street. No tobacco coming through but with the rest of the flavours here, it’s one that could be mixed and hidden.

Inhale – The same satisfying blend of soft fluffy vapour used in Ill Nana has found a home here in Easy Rider. It works well as a carrier for this kind of flavour and doesn’t feel too heavy or overbearing. It is a touch drier than Ill Nana but this element lends itself to the natural bitter edge of coffee that has a similar affect. The flavour is much milder than I was expecting, for the most part it’s an average run of the mill coffee (a safe option as too rich and it becomes difficult to vape all day) drawn to lung the flavour develops those low tobacco notes which adds a little richness to the coffee and an earthier feel. Its fairly sweet but this element builds the more you vape it as that drier texture lingers on your tastebuds.

Exhale – There is a much creamier feeling on the exhale, in both taste and texture. This provides a warmer, more rounded vape. Whilst coffee + cream is a always a good combo, the mild tobacco does get a little bit of a dousing. Its not till you’ve exhaled the Irish cream part becomes clearly defined. Its actually a decent blend and the sweet cream and whiskey lingers on the lips and reminds me of Christmas…. And flashbacks of pint glass size servings of Baileys.. … And why I don’t drink anymore.😂🙊

Conclusion – This juice is a grower. It needs time to develop on your palette and it’s not till all the flavours come together on the inhale and exhale that you can really make a call on whether you like it. I do like it, but it’s not a ADV for me. Its dark and moody, a curl up with a book on a leather armchair kind of juice. The tobacco isn’t heavy and whilst the coffee lacks commitment this could also be to its advantage.

Its clear to me Cks strengths lay with the more dessert style flavours, their fruit juices aren’t something I’d recommend but they are all technically sound, no real complaints other than the limp flavours on some of the fruits. If you aren’t a fan of hard hitting flavour then this line could be just what you’re after but as individual profiles there are other juices that beat them hands down. Overall though, not a range I’d come back to.
